Ad Tracking
At Opera Mediaworks we believe the best way for consumers to protect their privacy is to be well informed and personally involved in taking actions they believe to be reasonable to protect themselves. Therefore we believe you should be aware that most phone and tablet operating systems enable mobile advertising within applications by providing advertisers with a device identifier. For Android devices this identifier is called an Android Advertising ID (AAID). For iOS devices it is called an ID for Advertising (IDFA). These identifiers are, non-permanent and are used to give advertisers a greater ability to present you with relevant ads, while giving you more control over advertisers’ ability to serve you those targeted ads.

For example, with iOS use the instructions available on Apple’s support site here: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT202074 or by looking under “SETTINGS” > PRIVACY >ADVERTISING. For other operating systems refer to your device’s operating manual or help screens. You can reset a device’s Advertising Identifier at any time.

For example, with iOS use the instructions available on Apple’s support site here: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT202074, or by looking under “SETTINGS” > PRIVACY >ADVERTISING > LIMIT AD TRACKING. For other operating systems refer to your device’s operating manual or help screens. If you choose to limit ad tracking, apps are not permitted to use the Advertising Identifier to serve you targeted ads.
